The bongo is a herbivorous, mostly nocturnal forest ungulate. Bongos are characterised by a striking reddish-brown coat, black and white markings, white-yellow stripes and long slightly spiralled horns. They are the only tragelaphid in which both sexes have horns.

We have observed Bongo 8 times world wild from 2021-07-20 till this date with the last observation being in 2022-07-10 in South Africa.

Our data suggest that Bongo are highly active in June, March and July world wild but differences observed on country level, while the lowest activity observed on July and April.

We noticed also the top 3 countries to observe Bongo in are: South Africa, India and United States respectively.
