Coatis, also known as coatimundis, are members of the family Procyonidae in the genera Nasua and Nasuella. They are diurnal mammals native to South America, Central America, Mexico, and the southwestern United States. The name "coatimundi" comes from the Tupian languages of Brazil, where it means "lone coati".

We have observed Coatimundi 109 times world wild from 2021-06-16 till this date with the last observation being in 2022-07-10 in Germany.

Our data suggest that Coatimundi are highly active in December, February and March world wild but differences observed on country level, while the lowest activity observed on June and April.

We noticed also the top 3 countries to observe Coatimundi in are: Mexico, France and United States respectively.
